3. Click on the *"Click here"* option 4. You will be redirected to a website. On it, you will see a button that says "**Generate Code**" (r*ead the note below).* 5. Tap on it. A unique access code will be generated for you. 6. Go back to the Energy App and enter the access code that you generated on the webpage in step 4. 7. Tap "Submit". You will now have access to the Energy App! That's it! You should refresh the page to obtain and try a different access code, or wait for a new code to become available. {% endhint %} # Getting Started ## How can I start playing? Once you select Watch and PLAY from the home page, the first time you access this section you will be prompted to buy an NFT to begin the game. You can browse through the available NFT minting options. The first thing you need to do to be able to mint NFTs is to deposit or buy BNB. When you choose a box to mint the first image you will see is the following.

Here are two possible options for getting BNB into your wallet. The first option is to select the "Deposit" button, which will redirect you to the deposit section of the app where you can copy the wallet address to deposit. The second option is to buy BNB by selecting the "Buy BNB now" button, which will redirect you to our BUY portal where you will have different options to purchase BNB.

Once you have topped up your wallet with BNB, go to the Energy App and you will now be able to mint a new nerd. Follow the on-screen steps and you will be ready to start watching videos and play the high-yield game. # Minting You can start earning NRG tokens by minting your first NFT ### Why should I mint an NFT and what does it involve? Minting an NFT means buying an Energy character that gives you the ability to earn NRG Tokens when watching videos. There is a factor of luck involved which will determine the rarity and attributes that closely relate to what users get out of each video view. These are tradeable and live on the blockchain, so buying them also involves a transaction. ### What Do I Need to Mint a Nerd NFT? There are 6 types of NFTs, which have different prices and benefits. Apart from the token cost, a very small amount of gas is needed to cover transaction fees. If you already have BNB in your wallet you can follow the steps described below to mint an NFT. 1. Open the Energy extension or mobile app. 2. Select the *"Watch & Play"* option on the home page 3. Select the *"PICK A BOX"* option. 4. Choose the box that you want to mint. 5. Tap the *"PREPARE BOX"* button. 6. The system will ask you to swap BNB for enough NRG and XCAD tokens (creating buy pressure for XCAD) to mint the NFT. 7. Once the swap is complete, the tokens will be available in your wallet, which lets you proceed to the next step. 8. Select the *"MINT BOX"* button. 9. Once the transaction has been verified, you will have successfully minted a NERD NFT and its characteristics will be revealed. You can now begin watching videos. ### Rerolls As of v3.0.8 a new feature was introduced which allows users to retry to mint their Nerd in an attempt to obtain better stats. Initially, the only version that supports rerolls is the lucky mint, but we plan to introduce more soon. ## Get Ready to Battle! 1. **Choose Your Warrior:** Get your active nerd ready for the battle. ## **How To Battle** 1. Click the ‘Battle’ button. 2. Read through the initial tutorial and click the "I'm ready, let's go" button 3. You can see your Battle Record from here, click "Battle Now" to look for a worthy opponent.

4. **Choose your attribute:** After entering the battlefield, you have 30 seconds to choose an attribute for your nerd. Don’t worry—if you’re unsure, the system will randomly pick one for you! {% hint style="success" %} XP boosts applied to the Nerd also apply to battle rewards! {% endhint %}

5. **Dive into intense best-of-three rounds.** Attributes chosen by you and your opponent will face off in random order. In case of a tie, prepare for a final, decisive round with randomly selected attributes.

## Battle Rewards Winners will receive their prizes under the wallet section within a few minutes! The reward is a fixed value based on the table above. # Earning Rewards Factors which impact reward earnings Key factors which impact reward earning are the NFT characteristics and NFT specialty, which can be found in the NFT Characteristics section. Only qualifying Creators from the approved list earn rewards, and these can be found in the Watch section. Users will also benefit from watching videos within their NFT Speciality since their rewards will be boosted. ### Video Viewing Caps NFTs will have a universal video reward cap per day, called **Views**, this is the maximum amount of videos someone can get rewarded for in a day. The current reward viewing cap is 5 videos per day, for ALL NFTs. This limit will be reset back to 5, every day at 12:00am UTC. ## Earning NRG tokens To start earning NRG tokens, the first thing you need to do is activate your NFT. {% hint style="info" %} If you have more than one **NFT**, you can swap the activation between NFTs, but this NFT activation swap has a daily limit which is 5, after consuming that exchange limit you must wait til 12:00am UTC before being able to exchange activation between NFTs again. {% endhint %} ### Activate NFT In order to start using the NFT, you must first activate it by selecting the NFT you want to activate, a drop-down menu opens, where you must select the **ACTIVATE** option. A confirmation pop-up will open, if you are sure to activate the NFT you should select the ACTIVATE button, wait a few seconds and a confirmation message of active NFT appears.

After activating your nerd, you will be able to find all the channels with associated NRG tokens in the Watch section. ### Claiming your Daily Login Bonus Regardless of how many Nerds you own, you're entitled to a daily login bonus. To claim this bonus: 1. Ensure you have BNB available for gas fees 2. Initiate the claim process 3. After successfully claiming, your login bonus will appear in your unclaimed balance within a few minutes so you can finish claiming it there {% hint style="info" %} The amount of the daily login bonus is randomly generated and can range from 1 NRG to 750 NRG {% endhint %} {% hint style="danger" %} You'll only be able to claim the prize once per day. # NFT Characteristics The NFT Characterstics are critical to how they earn NRG tokens, and how the NFTs function within the gamified ecosystem. There are 4 key characteristics, **Reputation**, **Speed**, **Luck** and **Stamina**, the effects of these are explained here. The NFT also has a speciality, which doesn't have levels like the characteristics but will affect the earning power based on the content being watched. ### ![](/files/gWMwc4jp9hvgDJxLlJiP) ### Reputation This is a major characteristic of NERD NFTs. The higher the Rep of your NFT, the higher the base rewards per video will be. It plays a huge part in deciding the earning power of an NFT. During the initial version, the top level is level 15 for reputation, however, higher levels will become obtainable to users in the future that will come with higher base rewards. However, lower-level base rewards will decrease once more levels are unlocked. The higher your speed level, the more effective your NFT will be at earning from watching videos quickly. {% hint style="warning" %} The speed attribute is quite complex, primarily since YouTube posting times, which the attribute depends on, are not always accurately reflected on their page. This time discrepancy may sometimes result in the speed bonus not being applied. {% endhint %} This is essential for Creators, the more views a Creator amasses in the first 30 minutes from uploading, the more likely the video will perform well, as that's a key period of the algorithm to assess the quality of that video. So get your notifications turned on! ### Luck The NRG lottery takes place after every single registered view (assuming you are under your view cap for the day). Luck dictates your probability of winning it. The win potentials are as follows: 1. 🏆Platinum: 5,000 NRG Tokens 2. 🥇Gold: 1,000 NRG Tokens 3. 🥈Silver: 300 NRG Tokens 4. 🥉Bronze: 100 NRG Tokens {% hint style="success" %} The higher your level of luck, the more chance you will have at winning these lotteries and striking gold. {% endhint %} The Luck attribute skews the XP distribution depending on the level. ### Specialities The speciality will boost earnings to an NFT if it's watching a specific category of videos, the current boost is 10%. For example, an NFT which has the Gaming speciality would receive a boost when watching gaming videos. The more videos you watch, the more XP points you will accumulate, allowing you to level up and unlock new features

The longer the video the user watches, the more XP they will receive. Watching longer videos will take more time, but could create bigger NRG rewards in the future as the Nerd levels up faster. XP is calculated around an upper and lower boundary, with the length of the video watched and the luck attribute factored into the total XP amount. Explore yet another way to enhance your earning opportunities! Create or join a party, mint nerds, and enjoy multipliers that boost your rewards. ## How Parties Work 1. **Join or Create a Party:** * Opt to join an existing party or establish a new one by going to the "**Watch Parties**" section. * Participating is optional. You can use the app normally without a multiplier if you prefer not to join a party.

It is down to the party leader to decide whether you get to stay. {% endhint %} 2. **Setting up Your Party:** * As a party creator, introduce a unique party name and description. * Share an access code with others to allow them to join the party. 3. #### **Minting:** * When you mint a Nerd, its multiplier remains active for 14 days from the date of minting. 4. **Queue System - Keeping the Party Active:** * To continuously extend your multiplier, you can strategically mint new Nerds. For example, mint on Day 1, then again on Day 8, Day 15, and so on. Each new mint will refresh the multiplier for another 14 days from the date of minting. * If a user leaves, their minted nerd remains, keeping the party going. 5. **Priority of Multiplier:** * If multiple Nerds are minted, the Nerd with the larger multiplier takes precedence. * Example: If a Common Nerd is minted and then a Rare Nerd is minted within 14 days, the Rare Nerd’s multiplier will override the Common Nerd’s multiplier. 6. **Expiry of Multiplier:** * The multiplier of each Nerd expires 14 days after its minting, regardless of any subsequent mints. * Example: If a Rare Nerd is minted on Day 1 and a Common Nerd on Day 10, the Rare multiplier applies until Day 14. From Day 15 to Day 24, the Common Nerd’s multiplier becomes active. 7. **Managing the Party:** * Party creators (admins) can manage memberships, including removing members or deleting the party entirely. * Users can leave voluntarily, and their nerds will continue contributing to the party’s success. ## Global Earnings Impact Earnings will decrease by 20% unless you are in an active watch party. For new Minters, it’s advisable to create a watch party before minting your first Nerd, in which case you will get the 14-day boost from your initial mint. However, those in an active Watch Party will have the opportunity to boost rewards above the previous baseline. How this works is displayed in the table below: | Rarity | Inactive Watch Party Impact | Active Boost per Rarity Minted | Total Impact w/ Active party | | --------- | --------------------------- | ------------------------------ | ---------------------------- | | Legendary | -20% | 30% | 110% | | Rare | -20% | 25% | 105% | | Common | -20% | 20% | 100% | | Basic | EXCLUDED | N/A | N/A | | Starter | EXCLUDED | N/A | N/A | {% hint style="success" %} If the party has an active boost, all party members will benefit from the boost, regardless of who activated it! {% endhint %} # Repairing Your NFT will only be able to watch so many videos earning rewards, until it needs to be repaired. ## How To Repair Once all available views have been consumed, the nerd will change its status from ACTIVE to REPAIR. To continue using it, users must click the nerd, and select the REPAIR option from the menu. {% hint style="success" %} Users can still repair their nerd even if all views have not been consumed yet. {% endhint %} If the balance is insufficient, the app will prompt the user to deposit or swap tokens to get the necessary tokens for the repair.

{% hint style="info" %} Only **Basic Nerds** repairs can be either *off-chain* or *on-chain*, while the rest are *on-chain* **only** {% endhint %} Once the account balance is enough to proceed with the repair, the user can approve the transaction with the wallet or use the off-chain balance to proceed with the repair.

The amount of videos that can be watched until a repair is needed depends on the NFT stamina level as per its [dedicated table](/earning-rewards/nft-characteristics#stamina). {% hint style="warning" %} Stamina will only be depleted when earning from viewing. E.g. if the video viewing cap has been exceeded for the day, then these watches will not count. {% endhint %} ### Cost of Repair The repair cost depends on the reputation of your NFT and the stamina level. The more base earning power an NFT has, the more expensive it is to repair. NFTs with a higher REP have a higher base earning potential. The detailed table with how stamina affects costs and how frequently a Nerd needs to be repaired can be found on the [NFT Characteristics](/earning-rewards/nft-characteristics#stamina) page. **Common, Rare, and Legendary** nerds are repaired using XCAD and NRG. The cost is 2.5% of the total in XCAD, and the rest in NRG tokens. This has been voted by a [governance proposal](https://vote.xcadnetwork.com/proposal/3b6d82f8-5a00-4f32-8b39-ba33ea1ec0df) to further increase the demand and usability of the XCAD Token. # Marketplace The only place NERD NFTs can be traded. ## Trading your NFTs NFTs can be traded in the NFT Marketplace via the Energy App The NFT trade occurs when a user decides to put his NFT on sale, by establishing a minimum price and a time limit for which the NFT will be listed.

After publishing the NFT, it will be displayed in the Marketplace section, where users can place bids. The highest bidder will win the auction when the time limit is reached, and will then be able to claim his new NFT. Other users who did not win the auction will be automatically reimbursed. They can claim the tokens back in the "Complete" tab. ## How To Sell an NFT? To list an NFT, follow these steps 1. Select an NFT from the **My NFTs** section. 2. Choose the **Sell NFT** option. 3. Enable NFT for trade. 4. Fill in the price and end date, and confirm the sale ## How Place a Bid? 1. Select the **Market** tab 2. Select the **Marketplace** subtab 3. Pick an NFT 4. Enable bidding 5. Place a bid After placing a bid you will see it in the Market "Buy" tab. Within this section, you also find the option to place a new bid. ## Finish Sale Once the Auction ends, the winner and the seller will have the option to **complete** the sale. This option will be available for the winner on the **BUY** section and for the seller on the **SELL** section ## As a Winner, How Can I Claim my NFT? 1. Select the **Marketplace** tab 2. Go to the **Buy** subtab 3. Hit the **End** button 4. Wait until the transition finishes and you will be able to see it under your "My NFTs" section ## How to Claim NRG Tokens From a Sale? 1. Select the **Marketplace** tab 2. Select the **Sell** subtab 3. Hit the **End** button 4. Add funds #### From Exchange The first way you can add funds to your Metamask is by withdrawing it from an exchange.
